Hiring for Position CTU Test Director

CTU in Prague, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, CENTER OF AVIATION AND SPACE RESEARCH ( CTU, FME, CASR), is hiring for position CTU TEST DIRECTOR.

We offer the opportunity to participate in the realization of ambitious, unique international projects of research cooperation between the university and industry. We are looking for a new colleague for the Center for Aviation and Space Research.
 

Job description:

  • Leads and coordinates future long-term collaboration between CTU FME CASR and demand for testing from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identifies and communicates technology, infrastructure and skills requirements, coordinates development of testing capabilities, needs, operation standards, sustainability and identifies future growth opportunities.
  • Cooperates on R&D development including seeking external funding opportunities.
  • Assures compliance with the legal requirements relevant to public institutions.
  • Drives engagement between CTU, internal stakeholders (research & education) and external partners, including testing demand forecasting and capability gaps mapping.
  • Develops and delivers necessary reporting and communication lines within CTU.
  • Acts as the focal point of contact for external industrial and R&D partners for collaboration on current and future projects involving CTU testing infrastructure.
  • Analyses internal and external business opportunities and challenges and recommends best-practice approaches to improve processes or services.
  • Takes responsibility for infrastructure and personnel readiness for the upcoming engine tests.
  • Coordinates all CASR infrastructure and personnel resources prior to and during the engine test execution to ensure the achievement of accurate test results and its delivery to the customer in an efficient, secure and timely manner.
  • Takes responsibility for adequate quality management system introduction and maintenance (QMS).
  • Takes responsibility for ensuring appropriate and necessary staff development, qualifications, and training in compliance with legal requirements (e.g., Civil Aviation Authority).
Qualifications and experience:
  • University degree in technical field
  • Experience at least five years within similar position and sector
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, ability to lead a team
  • Language skills - Czech – excellent/native speaker, English – excellent
