13 two-hours lessons in winter semester, 13 two-hours lessons in summer semester

Winter semester


  • expressing agreement and disagreement,
  • questions,
  • numerals 0 - 10,
  • verbs „být“ and „dělat“,
  • conjugation of verbs „rozumět, mluvit, vědět, vidět“,
  • forming negative,
  • future tense,
  • numerals 11 – 100,
  • verbs „mít rád, číst, pít, jíst“,
  • higher numerals 100 – 1000,
  • singular nominative– adjectives with soft and hard ending.

Preparatory German courses for Erasmus studies abroad

Department of Languages at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in cooperation with the European Office (department of International Relations at CTU) provides preparatory course for upper-intermediate German - preparing students who are interested in studying within Erasmus programme at universities in Germany, Austria or Switzerland. (application)

The course is divided into two semesters, 13 two-hour lessons once a week. The course belongs to Lifelong learning programme and is paid, the price is CZK 1,000 per semester.

Content of the course:

  • Mastering grammar and technical language
  • Understanding technical text which will be demonstrated on specific examples from technical journals
  • Basic discussion and argumentation necessary for active participation in classes abroad
