Necessary for production

The Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering was established as a fusion of three departments in 1998. The original three departments were Electrical Engineering, Precision Mechanics and Optics and Automatic Control. These three divisions of the department are currently cooperating on providing courses for four-year bachelor programme Information and Automation Technology, two-year follow-up programme Instrumentation and Control Engineering and PhD programme Technical Cybernetics. In addition, the tutors of the department provide Computer-aided Learning in basic studies, Electrical Circuits and Electronics, Electrical Machines and Drives, Automatic Control and Technical measurement and a wide range of subjects in other branches of bachelor's and master's degree.

Student cooperate with companies

Students may be involved in paid cooperation with companies which consists of solving tasks either during the semester or as a summer job. Such cooperation ideally develops into implementation-research project for their thesis and the possibility of employment in the company.
