Briefly
We teach the theory of the formation of mechanical models, statics, kinematics and dynamics of rigid bodies and systems of such bodies considering ideal and real constraints; mechanics of machines, vibration and vibration technology, synthesis and optimization of mechanical systems, mechanics of structures, statistical mechanics and others.
We cooperate with the Departments of Mechanics of other universities in the Czech Republic (UWB in Pilsen, Brno University of Technology, TU Liberec, TU Ostrava) and with foreign universities (Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Universität Stut tgart, Technische Universität München in Germany, etc.).
Laboratory of Biomechanics provides education to students of master's programme in the field of Biomechanics and medical devices and to postgraduate students in the field of Biomechanics. Besides engineering courses students attend also courses of introduction to anatomy and physiology.
When working on their theses, students are actively involved in research projects and thus gain experience for their future practice in science and industry.
