57^th International Scientific Conference focused on research and teaching methods in the field of vehicles and their drives
and
52^nd International Scientific Conference of the Departments of Transport, Handling, Construction and Agricultural Machinery

The Department of Automotive, Combustion Engine and Railway Engineering of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague is organising a traditional meeting of the departments on the 16^th and 17^th of September 2026, this time in the format of a joint international scientific conference. The event integrates two significant gatherings of Czech and Slovak universities and institutions engaged in the research of mobile technology.

The aim of this joint conference is to deepen interdisciplinary cooperation between universities, other scientific institutions, and industry. Combining both events will support a broader exchange of current information and experience, bridging the development of passenger and commercial vehicles with the research of heavy and specialised mobile equipment.

The main topics of the papers include a wide spectrum of issues from both fields:

• Vehicles and Drives: research into the combustion process, real thermodynamic cycles, cylinder charge exchange processes, supercharging, alternative fuels, hybrid and alternative drives, reduction of fuel consumption and emissions, dynamics, vibration, noise, motor vehicle design, handling characteristics, and aerodynamics.
• Transport and Working Machinery: innovation and development of transport and handling equipment, design and efficiency of construction and agricultural machinery, interaction of working mechanisms with the environment, and the specifics of heavy machinery drives.

The conference is intended primarily for research and pedagogical staff of university departments, experts from automotive research and manufacturing, specialists in the development of working and agricultural machinery, doctoral students, undergraduates, and other interested parties in the field.
