Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, CTU in accordance with Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions, as amended announce the job vacancy:

post-doc researcher for Department of Mechanics for mobility in the scope of OP VVV call for the project „International Mobility of Researchers“

Workplace: CTU in Prague, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Mechanics
Work period: 8 months
Employment type: 1,0 FTE
Expected starting date for the position: 02/2020

Salary based on conditions of the call covering the expenses for stay abroad.

Responsibilities:

  • Research of active structures for biomedical applications.
  • Cooperation on research projects and publication of the research outcomes.
  • Researcher must have experience with nanostructure preparation and characterization.
  • The researcher will be using nanoindentation method for structure characterization. Knowledge of Raman spectroscopy is also preferred.
  • Minimum of one active participation at a workshop, seminar or conference organized at the workplace and minimum of one publication submitted to an impacted journal, report on working activities after each month

Requirements: 

  • Candidate is a post-doc researcher. The candidate has a Ph.D. degree or its equivalent based on 8ISCED (International Standard Classification of Education) classification.
  • Candidate must be a researcher from abroad by a definition described as a researcher who in the past 3 years spent at least 2 years (at the date of application) working in a research field outside of CZE for a minimum of 50%-time employment, or was a Ph.D. student or its equivalent.
  • Publication record – minimum of 2 publications in the past 3 years

  • Copies of diplomas
  • Documents proving activities outside of CZE for at least 2 years in the past 3 years or studying of Ph.D. (can be listed in the CV)
  • Brief description of the candidate proposed research work, justification of its necessity and benefits for the candidate and the FME CTU workplace.
  • Consent to the processing of personal data for the purpose of this tender.
